Flower Delivery in Los Feliz, Los Angeles β Same-Day by Flowerbar Florist
Los Feliz is a neighborhood, and one of the closest to our studio at 135 N Louise St in Glendale. Central Avenue runs out of Glendale into West Los Feliz Boulevard, which carries straight into the neighborhood: three and a half to six miles by road. Order by 3:00 PM Pacific for same-day delivery. Express runs 2 to 3 hours, and our Ready Now selection can arrive in about an hour.
Sub-Areas We Deliver To in Los Feliz
Los Feliz sits below Griffith Park, bounded by the park on the north, the Los Angeles River on the east, Hyperion Avenue on the southeast, Hollywood Boulevard on the south and Western Avenue on the west.
- Los Feliz Village. The commercial heart, along North Vermont Avenue and, a block east, Hillhurst Avenue. We deliver to shops, studios and offices on both streets.
- Los Feliz Hills and Los Feliz Estates. Everything climbing north of Los Feliz Boulevard toward the park, on streets like Glendower, Bonvue and Cromwell. Frank Lloyd Wright's Ennis House stands on Glendower, a private residence rather than a destination.
- Laughlin Park. A private, gated enclave of roughly sixty houses bordered by Los Feliz Boulevard, Cummings Drive, Franklin Avenue and Hobart Boulevard. Access is controlled by the community.
- Franklin Hills. The southeastern shoulder, with the Village west, Silver Lake east and East Hollywood south. The closest corner of Los Feliz to our studio.
- Los Feliz Knolls, Waverly Heights and Los Feliz Square. The eastern hillside blocks above Waverly Drive, and the flatter streets toward Thai Town.
Landmarks and Delivery Destinations
Distances are driving distances from 135 N Louise St: roughly eight to fifteen minutes off peak, longer at the peaks.
- Griffith Observatory (2800 East Observatory Road), about five and a half miles, and the Greek Theatre (2700 N Vermont Ave), a little under five, with a summer concert season.
- Barnsdall Art Park and the Hollyhock House (4800 Hollywood Blvd), about five miles: Frank Lloyd Wright's first Los Angeles house.
- Skylight Books (1818 N Vermont Ave) and the Vista Theatre (4473 Sunset Dr), four and a half to five miles out, with the Village shops around them.
- The AFI campus on North Western Avenue, which shares its entrance with Immaculate Heart High School on Franklin Avenue, and John Marshall High School at 3939 Tracy St, three and a half miles from the Glendale studio.
Hospitals Serving Los Feliz
Los Feliz has no hospital inside it. Three sit just below it, all in 90027 and about five miles from the studio: Kaiser Permanente Los Angeles Medical Center at 4867 Sunset Blvd, Children's Hospital Los Angeles at 4650 Sunset Blvd and CHA Hollywood Presbyterian at 1300 N Vermont Ave. We deliver to all three. Each applies its own rules, and some do not allow fresh flowers into patient areas at all β a delivery may be held at the front desk for the family to collect, so it is worth checking before you order. See get-well flowers and new-baby bouquets.
Griffith Park, Proposals and Weddings
Griffith Park wraps the northern edge of Los Feliz, and the Observatory terrace is a much-photographed proposal spot. Before planning around the building itself: the Observatory's visitor FAQ, answering when space there can be rented for an event, meeting or filming, says "No rentals are possible at any time for personal events (e.g., birthdays, weddings, anniversaries, bar mitzvahs) or corporate events."
We do take wedding and event work, venue deliveries and corporate accounts. Venues set their own rules for access and timing, so book with them first. For a proposal, start with love & romance, roses or anniversary flowers.
How Same-Day Delivery Works to Los Feliz
- Same day: order by 3:00 PM Pacific.
- Express: 2 to 3 hours.
- Ready Now: about one hour, 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM, from a limited curated selection.
We are open daily, 6:00 AM to 8:00 PM. Los Feliz is served from Glendale, the closer of our two studios by a clear margin: three and a half to six miles by road, against roughly five and a half to eight and a half miles from our Downtown LA studio at 801 S Olive St.
SMS updates follow the order: confirmed, out for delivery, and delivered with a photograph. If the flowers arrive and they are not fresh, we replace them or refund you. Bouquets start around $109; mid range $110 to $190, premium $190 to $290, luxury $290 and up. Our designers are European-trained, mono-bouquets are our signature format, and we have been making flowers in Glendale since 2021.
Popular Occasions in Los Feliz
Across Los Angeles our most requested designs are White Swan, Spray Roses & Lavender Stock and Nude Spray Roses. That is a citywide picture, not a Los Feliz one, and all three are in our bouquets. See also birthday flowers, bouquets under $110, mono bouquets in a vase for a desk in the Village, and sympathy flowers.
Los Feliz Through the Year
Los Feliz keeps an outdoor calendar. Almost everything that recurs here happens on a hill, in the open air, between spring and the end of autumn.
- The Greek Theatre season, late April to the end of October. It is an open-air house on the Griffith Park side of Vermont Avenue, and it goes dark for the winter. On a show night the climb up Vermont above Los Feliz Boulevard slows from late afternoon on.
- Graduations at the Greek, each June. The theatre takes school ceremonies at the close of the LAUSD year, and John Marshall High School, on Tracy Street inside the neighborhood, holds its own there. A ceremony bouquet is worth building small enough to carry through a crowd and to photograph at arm's length.
- Friday Wine Nights on Olive Hill, late May to mid-September. Barnsdall Art Park runs them on Friday evenings across the summer, on the lawn beside Hollyhock House. Over-21s only.
- Hollyhock House tour days. Self-guided Thursday to Saturday, guided exterior tours on Friday and Saturday, and hour-long tours on Sunday. The house is shut Monday to Wednesday, which is worth knowing before anyone plans around it.
- The tree lighting at Franklin and Hillhurst, the first days of December. The neighborhood spends the afternoon outside the library on that corner and lights the tree towards dusk. It is the one winter fixture the Village keeps.
- The Vista Theatre, all year. It programmes film only, 35mm and 70mm, so its calendar is repertory and premieres rather than a season.
The plain rhythm underneath: the Village along Vermont and Hillhurst is a weekday address, the hillside streets above Los Feliz Boulevard are weekend ones, and the three hospitals below the neighborhood in 90027 keep the same hours every week of the year.
What Grows in California, and What Gets Flown In
Begin with the flower people ask for most and the one we cannot call local. Peonies are not grown in California. No grower in this state produces them, so every peony that reaches a Los Angeles studio has been flown in. That is why they can be bought in any month of the year, and why their quality moves about instead of holding steady. We will build with them whenever you want them. We would simply rather tell you where they came from.
What California does grow, it grows on a real calendar. Stock is a January to May crop and ranunculus a February to May one, both at their best across March and April. Pincushion protea shares that window, February to April, and wax flower runs from December right the way through to May. Kangaroo paw is the short one, May and June and then gone. Sunflowers hold the long middle of the year, March to October, and dahlias the back half of it, June to October, strongest in August and September. Garden roses grown in a field rather than under glass come in from the middle of April and last until November. Leucadendron Safari Sunset arrives in September and runs to November. The greens never stop: eucalyptus, myrtle, rosemary, salal and olive are cut here in every month of the year, and snapdragon with them.
Freesia, hydrangea, tulips, lisianthus, anemone and carnations belong in the same bracket as peonies. They are on the market year-round because they are imported year-round, not because there is a California season standing behind them.

Los Feliz Flower Delivery FAQ
What is the same-day cutoff for delivery in Los Feliz?
3:00 PM Pacific. Express is 2 to 3 hours, and Ready Now can arrive in about an hour between 8:00 AM and 9:00 PM, from a limited curated selection. We are open daily, 6:00 AM to 8:00 PM.
Which studio delivers to Los Feliz, Glendale or Downtown LA?
Glendale, and it is not close. From 135 N Louise St, Los Feliz addresses are three and a half to six miles away by road: three and a half to Franklin Hills, five and a half to Griffith Observatory. From our Downtown LA studio at 801 S Olive St they are roughly five and a half to eight and a half miles.
Can you deliver flowers to the hospitals near Los Feliz?
Yes. Los Feliz has no hospital inside it, but three sit just below it in the same 90027 ZIP code: Kaiser Permanente Los Angeles Medical Center (4867 Sunset Blvd), Children's Hospital Los Angeles (4650 Sunset Blvd) and CHA Hollywood Presbyterian (1300 N Vermont Ave). Give us the patient's name and, if you know it, the room and unit. Each hospital applies its own rules, and some do not allow fresh flowers into patient areas at all β children's units and intensive care most often restrict them, and a delivery may be held at the front desk for the family to collect. Check the hospital's current guidance before you order.
Can you deliver flowers for a wedding or a proposal at Griffith Observatory?
We take wedding and event work, but plan the Observatory itself carefully. Its visitor FAQ, answering when space there can be rented for an event, meeting or filming, says "No rentals are possible at any time for personal events (e.g., birthdays, weddings, anniversaries, bar mitzvahs) or corporate events." Griffith Park and the Greek Theatre have their own separate rules. Book with the park or the venue first, then tell us what they told you.
Which ZIP codes do you deliver to in Los Feliz?
90027 covers almost all of Los Feliz, including the Village, the Hills, Laughlin Park, Franklin Hills, Griffith Observatory and the Greek Theatre. 90039 covers the eastern edge, toward the Los Angeles River. We deliver to the surrounding codes too, though they are not Los Feliz: 90029, 90028, 90068 and 90026, all street delivery.
What happens if nobody is home when you arrive in Los Feliz?
You get an SMS at each step: a confirmation when the order is placed, an out-for-delivery note when it leaves the studio, and a delivered message with a photograph. If nobody may be at the address, that is worth discussing when you order: a hillside house on Glendower Avenue and an apartment above the shops on Hillhurst are handled differently. Call us on +1 (626) 888-8449.
