Flower Delivery in Downtown Los Angeles โ Same-Day by Flowerbar Florist
Our Downtown LA studio is at 801 S Olive St, at 8th and Olive, where the Financial District, the Jewelry District and South Park meet. It shares the 90014 ZIP code with the Flower District about a mile southeast. The Financial District towers sit inside a mile of the door, so DTLA addresses are among the shortest runs we make. Order by 3:00 PM Pacific for same-day delivery. Express runs 2โ3 hours, and our Ready Now selection can arrive in about an hour.
Neighborhoods We Deliver To in Downtown LA
Downtown is a dozen small districts pressed against each other, and each one wants something different from a florist.
- Financial District and Bunker Hill. The office towers on Figueroa, Flower, Hope and Grand, and the residential high-rises above them. We deliver to offices across the whole corridor.
- Historic Core and Gallery Row. Broadway, Spring, Main and Hill, the restored bank buildings and theatres now full of lofts, creative agencies and ground-floor shops, a few blocks east of our door.
- Jewelry District. Hill and Broadway between 6th and 8th, the densest few blocks in Downtown. We deliver into the exchange buildings and the offices above them.
- Little Tokyo. First and Second Street between Alameda and Los Angeles Street, about a mile and a half from the studio. Restaurants, cultural venues, and the apartment buildings around the Japanese American National Museum.
- Arts District. East of Alameda, out toward the river. Converted warehouses, galleries, design studios and the restaurants that moved in with them. A little over two miles from our door.
- South Park and L.A. Live. Olympic, Figueroa and Pico around Crypto.com Arena and the Convention Center, including the high-rise residences at the Ritz-Carlton Residences at L.A. Live and the Metropolis towers. About a mile out.
- Fashion District and the Flower District. The showroom blocks south and east of us, including the California Market Center at 9th and Main, about half a mile away, and the wholesale flower markets on Wall Street between 7th and 8th.
- Civic Center, Chinatown and the Toy District. The north and east edges of Downtown: City Hall and Grand Park at the top, and the wholesale blocks around Los Angeles Street below Little Tokyo. We deliver to offices, apartments and homes across all of it.
We also deliver well beyond Downtown, across Los Angeles and the surrounding suburbs, from this studio and from our Glendale studio about ten and a half miles north.

- Weddings, events and corporate accounts. We take venue deliveries, event work and recurring corporate orders anywhere in Downtown and across Los Angeles. Call us and we will set it up.
Under a Mile From the Los Angeles Flower District
Downtown Los Angeles has the largest wholesale flower district in the United States, and this studio sits on the edge of it. The Original Los Angeles Flower Market at 754 Wall St, between 7th and 8th, is nine tenths of a mile from our door by road โ close enough to walk. The Southern California Flower Market, founded by Japanese American growers on these same blocks and still trading there, is one street over at 742 Maple Ave. Both sit inside 90014, the same ZIP code as our studio.
The markets trade from 5:00 AM, Monday to Saturday. The Original market is open to the public as well as to the trade, for a small admission at the door, so anyone can walk in and see what the city's florists are choosing from that morning. Closing times differ by day and the market's own listings do not agree on them, so check before you go.
For anyone ordering flowers, that geography is the whole point. We open at 6:00 AM, an hour after the market floor does. A stem bought as the market opens can be in an arrangement on Olive Street and on its way to a Downtown address the same morning, because the market, the studio and the delivery address all sit inside the same few square miles. It is why Downtown runs are the shortest we make, and why Ready Now makes more sense from this studio than from anywhere else.
What California Is Growing, Month by Month
Standing that close to the district means the season is not an abstraction here. It is what is on the floor at five in the morning. A flower in its own California season reaches you fresher and costs less than the same flower flown in out of window, so it is worth knowing which is which before you order. The windows below come from the growers' own crop calendars.
- January to May โ stock. Best from February to April. Scented, and it holds in a vase longer than most spring flowers.
- February to May โ ranunculus. Peak in March and April, which is when the California crop is both at its best and cheaper than the imported alternative.
- February to April โ pincushion protea, and December to May โ wax flower. Both are Southern California crops.
- March to October โ sunflowers, with the novelty varieties coming in from July.
- Mid-April to November โ field-grown garden roses. The outdoor crop, not the year-round greenhouse rose, and a different flower in scent and in the way it opens. See roses.
- May and June โ kangaroo paw. A short window and nothing else looks like it.
- June to October โ dahlias, at their best in August and September.
- September to November โ Safari Sunset leucadendron, the deep red foliage that carries autumn arrangements.
- Every month โ California greens: eucalyptus, myrtle, rosemary, salal, olive and snapdragon.
Two honest notes. Peonies are not a California flower. No grower in this state produces them commercially, so every peony in Los Angeles is imported, and outside the short northern-hemisphere window in May and June they come out of cold storage. We will sell you peonies; we will not tell you they are local. And freesia, hydrangea, tulips, lisianthus, anemone and carnations are on the market here all year round on import supply, which means there is no California season to quote for any of them โ anyone who gives you a month range for a Californian tulip is guessing.

Can you deliver flowers to a Downtown LA hotel?
Yes. We deliver to Downtown hotels including the InterContinental Los Angeles Downtown, The Westin Bonaventure, the Conrad Los Angeles, The Biltmore Los Angeles, the JW Marriott Los Angeles L.A. Live and Hotel Indigo Downtown. We leave the flowers at the front desk under the guest's name. Give us the guest's full name as it appears on the reservation, and tell us the check-in date when you order.
Can you deliver flowers to a hospital near Downtown LA?
Yes. We deliver to Dignity Health California Hospital Medical Center in South Park, PIH Health Good Samaritan Hospital on Wilshire Boulevard, and, across the river, Los Angeles General Medical Center and Keck Hospital of USC. Give us the patient's full name and, if you know it, the room number and unit. We bring the flowers to the hospital, and from there the hospital passes them on under its own rules. If anything about the order needs handling in a particular way, tell us when you place it.
Can you deliver to an office in the Downtown towers?
Yes. We deliver to offices and reception desks in the Financial District and Bunker Hill towers, including the U.S. Bank Tower, City National Plaza, Wells Fargo Center and the Wilshire Grand Center, and to the Historic Core, Jewelry District and Fashion District buildings. Every building sets its own rules for visitors and couriers, so give us the floor, the suite and the name of the person receiving when you order.
Which Downtown LA ZIP codes do you deliver to?
The Downtown street-delivery ZIP codes are 90012, 90013, 90014, 90015, 90017, 90021 and 90071, plus 90079, which is the California Market Center's own code in the Fashion District. We also deliver to the ZIP codes that ring Downtown, including 90007, 90026, 90033 and 90057, and across the rest of Los Angeles and its suburbs. Can I collect an order from your Downtown LA studio instead of having it delivered?
Yes. Call us on +1 (626) 888-8449 and we will arrange it. The studio is at 801 S Olive St, Ste. 7025, Los Angeles, CA 90014, at 8th and Olive, a few blocks south of Pershing Square.
What happens if nobody is home when you arrive in Downtown LA?
You get an SMS at each step: a confirmation when the order is placed, an out-for-delivery note when it leaves the studio, and a delivered message with a photograph, so you know as soon as it arrives. If nobody may be at the address, that is worth discussing when you order: a Historic Core loft and a fortieth-floor office are two different jobs. Tell us about the address when you order, or call us on +1 (626) 888-8449.
